The boys had a great time playing with Aunty Margaret when she visited from Denver. Here, Daniel enjoys some quality time.

Sam rides his trike like the little daredevil that he is (just like his dad).

Sam rides Leo while Lola looks on...Leo tolerates it, but Sam's still better off riding his trike.
Maybe we should have posted a "Don't Feed the Baby" sign....

It was Halloween time in Dayton, and the spirit moved us to decorate pumpkins. One of the October traditions in our neighborhood is to give anonymous "boo" bags (once you get one, you make bags for two other families). Anyway, this year one of our "boo" items was a face making kit for pumpkins. We let the boys pick out their favorites from the three and they got to "make" their own jack-o-lanterns. We used the leftover face parts to make mommy and daddy's pumpkin (shown with John and Sam).

The scary family picture is a daddy lion, a big brother giraffe, a baby monster, and a mommy who wonders where they get the weird genes from....

And more about moving:

John in the "garage of boxes"--and that doesn't even include furniture.

Sam likes moving because the cupboards are empty and he can climb in and "boo" us.

Daniel is not so crazy about moving--at least when mommy "packs" him around in the laundry basket.

Speaking of moving, here are some pictures of the new house. Shown are:

The kitchen--much bigger then our current place!

The backyard--it's like a football field with trees!

The front of the house with John, Daniel and Sam.

The living room (with hardwood floors)--taken from beside the bedroom doors, looking toward the entry way and dining room.

The downstairs, looking from the finished office area into one of the storage rooms.
Chezem Trail

Hello friends and family!

I know that most of you are thinking that we were never going to get a blog up--haha, fooled you! Seriously, it has been a pretty busy time for us. In the last month we shopped for and bought a house (no, we didn't leave the area, we just decided to stop renting). Now we're in the process of moving and doing some fix-it projects, such as refinishing the wood floors.... OK, I didn't say they were small projects. This weekend is the big moving weekend; well, all the furniture is being moved to the carpeted areas anyway. Wish us luck!

Halloween pictures to be blogged soon...John accidentally took them to work. The boys are growing like crazy, although they both have runny noses just now. Where they got those, I don't know--church, Skylarks, playing with friends--the possibilities are boggling. Maybe Aunt Margaret brought them from Denver with her--they developed the day after she left. (Hope you got home safe, Aunty, we miss you.)

Welcome to the Chezem Trail!

We thought this was an appropriate name as we move around the country! We hope this blog will let us keep you better updated on our lives, especially as the boys are growing.
